Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 (God) said: "You have the respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “I do not ask any fee from you for the Qur’an, and I am not a fabricator.” 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
