It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered. 79 And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what the men of old said. 81 They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? 82 "Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!" 83 Say O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “To Whom does the earth and all that is in it belong to, if you know?” 84 They will say: Unto Allah. Say: Will ye not then remember? 85 Ask them, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?" 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 The Knower of the unseen and the seen, so may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him). 92
