WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 left and right, in numerous groups? 37 Does every one of them wish to enter the garden of tranquility? 38 By no means! They know that which We have created them from. 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests, that, verily We are Able. 40 to substitute a better than they; We shall not be outstripped. 41 Therefore leave them alone to go on with the false discourses and to sport until they come face to face with that day of theirs with which they are threatened; 42 the day they shall come forth from the tombs hastily, as if they were hurrying unto a waymark, 43 Their eyes lowered in dejection, ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! 44
