Al-A 'araaf 12 of 24
Never have We sent a Prophet to a place without trying its people with adversity and hardship that they may humble themselves. 94 Then changed We the evil plight for good till they grew affluent and said: Tribulation and distress did touch our fathers. Then We seized them unawares, when they perceived not. 95 And if the people of the towns had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have opened up for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they rejected, so We overtook them for what they had earned. 96 Do the people of those towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come to them at night while they are asleep? 97 Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play? 98 Did they then feel secure against the Plan of Allah. None feels secure from the Plan of Allah except the people who are the losers. 99
