The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Such are the inheritors 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
