Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
