And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
