The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
