Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 In a Garden on high, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions lined up 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
