We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
