We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
