Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When the fetters and the chains shall be on their necks; they shall be dragged 71 In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire. 72 Then it is said unto them: Where are (all) that ye used to make partners (in the Sovereignty) 73 Beside Allah? They will say: they have failed us; aye! we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray. 74 "That was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the Truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent. 75 "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!" 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 Before your time We sent other messengers: of them there are some whose story We have related to you, and some whose story We have not related to you. It was not [possible] for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of God: but when the command of God was issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice. There and then, those who stood on falsehoods perished. 78

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
