Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
