Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
