Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
