Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
