Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
