Ha Mim: 1 This is a revelation from the Compassionate, the Merciful. 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 good tidings to bear, and warning, but most of them have turned away, and do not give ear. 4 They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears is a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)" 5 Say: I am only a mortal like you; it is revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah, therefore follow the right way to Him and ask His forgiveness; and woe to the polytheists; 6 [and] those who do not spend in charity: for it is they, they who [thus] deny the truth of the life to come! 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
