Indeed for the pious, with their Lord, are Gardens of Serenity. 34 Shall We then treat those who have surrendered as We treat the guilty? 35 What ails you? How ill you judge! 36 Is there with you a Book wherein ye study: 37 that (in the Hereafter) you shall have all that you choose for yourselves? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask thou of them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or is it that they have partners in worship? So they should bring their appointed partners, if they are truthful. 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Their eyes will be lowered and disgrace will cover them. They had certainly been told to prostrate themselves before God when they were safe and sound. 43 Leave those who reject the Quran to Me and I shall lead them step by step to destruction, without their being aware of it. 44 A (long) respite will I grant them: truly powerful is My Plan. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 47 So wait with patience for the Decision of your Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish, when he cried out (to Us) while he was in deep sorrow. (See the Quran, Verse 21:87). 48 Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace. 49 But his Lord exalted him, and included him among His righteous servants. 50 And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed!" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
