Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
