Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
