The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
