Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble recorders, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
