The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
