The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
