O Ye who believe! take your precaution then sally forth in detachment or sally forth all together. 71 And surely among you is he who would certainly hang back! If then a misfortune befalls you he says: Surely Allah conferred a benefit on me that I was not present with them. 72 But if good fortune comes to you from God, such a person is sure to say - just as if there had never been any question of love between you and him: "Oh, would that I had been with them, and thus had a [share in their] mighty triumph!" 73 ۞ Let them wherefore fight in the way of Allah those who have purchased the life of this world for the Hereafter. And whosoever fighteth in the way of Allah, and is then slain or overcometh, We shall vouchsafe unto him a mighty hire. 74 How should ye not fight for the cause of Allah and of the feeble among men and of the women and the children who are crying: Our Lord! Bring us forth from out this town of which the people are oppressors! Oh, give us from thy presence some protecting friend! Oh, give us from Thy presence some defender! 75 Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil. Lo! the devil's strategy is ever weak. 76
