Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
