We built the universe with Our might, giving it its vast expanse. 47 And the earth – We spread it out, and how well have We smoothed it! 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. 54 And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 The evildoers shall have their portion, like the portion of their fellows; so let them not hasten Me! 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
