HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
