No! By the moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 Warn the men. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 From the guilty. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
