(People), is your creation harder for God than that of the heavens, which He created, raised and established 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 and the earth-after that He spread it out, 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 and firmly fixed in it mountains; 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 But when the great calamity will come about 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 most surely his abode shall be Hell. 39 However, those who had feared their Lord and restrained their souls from acting according to its desires. 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 They ask you about the hour, when it will come. 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 Its final end is for your Lord. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 The day when they will see it, it will seem as if they had not stayed on earth except for an evening or its morning. 46
