He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 So you are after him! 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
