The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
