Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
