In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
