The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
