The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In columns outstretched. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
