Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
