The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 by a burning fire 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
