The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
