The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
