The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
