The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
