AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 But when they came to the point where the two met, they forgot their fish, which made its way burrowing into the sea. 61 And when they had gone further, he said to his assisting youth; 'Bring us our breakfast; we are worn out from our journey' 62 He said, 'What thinkest thou? When we took refuge in the rock, then I forgot the fish-and it was Satan himself that made me forget it so that I should not remember it -- and so it took its way into the sea in a manner marvellous.' 63 Moses said: "But that is exactly what we were seeking." So they retraced their steps. 64 Then they found one of Our servants unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and We had taught him knowledge proceeding from Us. 65 Moses said unto him: May I follow thee, to the end that thou mayst teach me right conduct of that which thou hast been taught? 66 He said, "Indeed, with me you will never be able to have patience. 67 And how shouldst thou bear patiently that thou hast never encompassed in thy knowledge?' 68 He (Moses) said: 'If Allah wills, you shall find me patient, I shall not disobey your order' 69 He said: then if thou wilt follow me ask me not of anything until I begin thereof some mention. 70

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
