No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
