And it is not your riches nor your children that shall draw you nigh unto us with a near approach, but whosoever believeth and worketh righteously - then those! theirs shall be a twofold meed for that which they will have worked, and they will be in upper apartments secure. 37 And (as for) those who strive in opposing Our communications, they shall be caused to be brought to the chastisement. 38 Say: "Truly, my Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and (also) restricts (it) for him, and whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah's Cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of providers." 39 On the Day when He gathers them all together, He will ask the angels, "Was it you that these people worshipped?" 40 They will say: hallowed be Thou! Thou art our protecting friend, not they; Aye! they have been worshipping the jinn; In them most of them were believers. 41 But today you do not hold for one another [the power of] benefit or harm, and We will say to those who wronged, "Taste the punishment of the Fire, which you used to deny." 42 When Our illustrious revelations are recited to them, they say, "This man only wants to prevent you from worshipping what your father's had worshipped." They say "This, (the Quran), is a mere invented lie." The unbelievers have said about the truth when it came to them, "This only is plain magic." 43 And We did not give them any Books which they may read, nor did We send to them any Herald of Warning before you. 44 And those before them had denied – and these have not reached even a tenth of what We had given them – so they denied My Noble Messengers; so how did My rejection turn out? 45
