And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
