Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say, "It is great news 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
