Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
