The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 has created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
