▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
